Phoenix Electrical Solar Services started trading in 2010 as a response to the emerging renewable energy market. The owner and operator, Dave Seymour is a qualified electrician (licence 89973C) with over 20 years’ experience in the electrical trade. He is fully accredited with the Clean Energy Council for the Design and Installation of Grid connected Photovoltaic (PV) Solar systems (A0569485).
Living and working from Portland NSW we cover the central tablelands,central west areas including Bathurst, Lithgow, Portland,Wallerawang and surrounding areas.
Dave first became interested in solar energy when he worked as an electrician for three years in Papua New Guinea from 1994 to 1997. He was part of a team which carried out standalone installation in remote areas in the East Sepik Province for health clinics, schools and out stations. The cost for panels in those days seems unbelievable now but back then it was out of necessity. The price per watt was approx… $10 were now it is approx. $1 and appears to be still slowly falling. This is due to the mass production and advances in technology.
We feel the future is bright for solar energy and as more developments are made with storage systems. As the prices start to fall for batteries, this will open up new areas where people are not dictated to by the energy companies and will have a real choice of becoming energy independent. PV solar Systems are a great investment to make and add value to your home as well as saving you momey on your power bill.
